 November 14, 2008
A day none of us ever thought we would see.......Joey rode a bike for the very first time.  Lots of happy tears were shed as we all watched Joey on his brand new bike.

Thanks to all my friends for a fabulous 14th birthday party!

Gionna's dance recital (her 10th one) was just great!  Click on the video below to see for yourself...

Joey's 4th birthday party was a beautiful day spent with friends and family.  The Alabaster Fire Department stopped by and the kids loved climbing all over the fire truck and meeting the firemen.  Joey really enjoyed hearing everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to him......click on the video below to see photos and video from Joey's big day!

The Bell Center's Annual "Race For Kids" was an amazing event to watch.  Once again, Gionna pushed Joey to the finish line and this year Joey met Mickey Ferguson from Fox 6 News.   Below is a short video of Joey's exciting day!

January 26, 2008 to February 2, 2008
Joey's first visit to the Circus left him wide-eyed and smiling!  Also, Joey visits the children at Briarwood Christian School.  You DON'T want to miss rare footage of Larry showing off his dance moves at the father/daughter dance!

Week of January 14, 2008
Joey's back at The Bell Center showing off his amazing head control.  Also, SNOW IN ALABAMA - watch Joey catch snowflakes as he experiences his first snowfall.

The video below covers three separate visits from December 18 to January 4.  The December 18th visit was the first time Joey held his head up for two consecutive minutes!  It's amazing the things he can do in the water.  On December 28, Dad and Gia joined in the fun and on January 4, Shannon and Bailey came to watch our little Nemo in action.  Bailey even got in the water with Joey and helped Keri with the therapy.  You can imagine Joey's excitement having TWO women to flirt with!

Joey went back for his third visit to the Lakeshore Foundation on November 9.  Again, he had a GREAT time and showed us some very impressive kicks!  Brenda Ladun from ABC 33/40 was there also and Joey had lots of smiles for her.  Click on the video below to see photos and a short video of his therapy that day.  Joey will be on ABC Monday evening, November 13!

On November 3, Joey went to the Lakeshore Foundation for his first ever water therapy session.  He absolutely loved it.  We met with Damian and Keri who couldn't have been nicer.   Watch the video below to see our "little Nemo" in action.

Hand-In-Paw (www.handinpaw.org) came to The Bell Center today and brought along "Rusty".  Joey already has a love of animals so he felt very comfortable with Rusty.

Mr. Mike Bridges directed yet another wonderful musical, "Alice In Wonderland, Jr." during his Summer Theatre Workshop at OLV.  Our Gionna was a "Tweedler" and Shannon's daughter, Bailey, was "Little Alice".  Below is a short video of the making of this musical.

Joey's First Vist To The Dentist!
We were so nervous that Joey was going to bite the dentist - but he did just great!  No cavities and 18 teeth with 2 molars on their way.

Joey turned 3 years old today!
Although we are waiting until May to celebrate his birthday with all of his friends, we had a small get together at our home for him.  Amazing to think that this time last month he was in a coma.  The video below shows how our little Nemo spent his 3rd birthday...

Joey Wakes Up From His Coma!
Joey finally woke up and showed us his big brown eyes.  We've waited fifteen days to see this.  Thanks be to God for all that He has done for our little guy!

On March 10, 2007, Joey showed the first signs of really trying to wake up after being in his coma for ten days.  To our surprise, he even managed a smile.

RACE DAY!!  February 9, 2007
The Mercedes Marathon Children's Race at The Bell Center was just amazing!  Watching all the children cross the finish line really touched my heart and of course watching Gia push Joey to the finish line in his wheelchair brought tears to my eyes.....take a look for yourself.

The video below covers two visits to the Bell Center in February.  Joey saw bubbles for the first time (outside of the bath tub) and loved them and you can see the infamous "ring" incident where he refused to choose the ring we wanted him to.  STUBBORN TO THE END.......can't imangine where he gets it from!!

Recently we went out to dinner with Shannon, Bailey & Bobby and what a time we had!  Joey really enjoyed himself and was quite the flirt with Bailey - I know that will come as a huge shock to all of you!

Below is a video at home just "hanging out" - this was taken on January 16, 2007 (I think)....

January 24, 2007
Joey's first day at The Bell Center was wonderful!  Joey will go twice a week for an hour and in the fall he will go for two hours each day.  Today he met with Ms. Amy who spent time getting to know Joey and learn some of his likes (Itsy Bitsy Spider) and dislikes (Pat-A-Cake)........

The video below was taken during our annual Christmas Caroling Party.  It turned out a little dark but its still worth taking a peek at. Merry Christmas!

Joey Visits Briarwood Christian School
Joey and I visited the children in Mrs. Burdick's 4th grade class at Briarwood Christian School.  They are an amazing group of kids and their love for Joey was just overwhelming.  See for yourself.....

The video below was taken on December 2, 2006.  This was our hometown Christmas Parade and this year we were all invited to ride on top of the firetruck with Santa.  We had SO much fun.......see for yourself....

The video below was taken on Thanksgiving Day 2006 at my mom's home.  My brother Colin and his wife were here from California and my cousin Valery was here from Virginia.  It was also my mom's birthday and she LOVED having many of her family members here for the holiday.

Click the video below to see a short clip on Joey's visit to Bailey's school.  This was taken on Monday, November 15, 2006.
**ADORABLE WARNING ALERT**

Click the above video to see photos and a short video of Joey.  This was taken over this past weekend (October 21-22).  My NEVER camera shy daughter makes an appearance here too.

The above video was taken on Wednesday, August 16. Bailey (pictured above) came over with her mom, Shannon, to meet Joey for the very first time. We are so blessed to have this wonderful family in our lives. Bailey, who is 6-years old, is organizing a "Bowl-A-Thon" in September to help raise awareness of Joey's Mitochondrial illness and funds for his medical account. When I took this video, it was the first time today that Joey smiled, he just loved being around Bailey - I knew he had a thing for blondes!!

July 4, 2006
Joey watching his VERY FIRST firework show.  A special thank you to the Blackwood Family and NBC-13 for giving us a front row seat to such a spectacular show.
